Markets.com is a Forex and CFD brokerage with offices in Cyprus as well as other islands around the world including St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Republic a Seychelles, and Mauritius. Beyond that, there is also an office in Johannesburg, South Africa. They are regulated in several countries around the world as well, so obviously it is a global company.

Trading accounts

HotForex offer six different types of accounts, including micro accounts, premium accounts, zero accounts, auto accounts, PAMM accounts, and HFCopy accounts. The micro account is as you would expect, very small, with premium being what you would be more use to it other brokerages. The zero account has zero spreads, while the auto account is used for analytical and algorithmic trading. Hotforex has been around for over eight years, and one more than 20 industry awards. There are 1.3+ million accounts open through this brokerage, so obviously they have been trusted by plenty of people out there to keep the liquidity flowing.

Trading conditions

Initial deposit

The initial deposit will vary depending on the account that you choose obviously, but you can start with a micro account with as little as five dollars. The premium account has a minimum of $100, while the zero account has a minimum of $200. The auto account has the same, while the PAMM account requires $250. The HFCopy account starts at $100 if you are a follower, but $500 if you are a strategy provider.

Spreads and conditions

HotForex has similar spreads depending on the accounts that you open, with roughly a one point spread in some of the more liquid contracts from the EUR/USD pair as it is highly traded. Beyond that, there is the zero account that offers as many as zero pips. All things being equal though, spread types are variable with the exception of the HFCopy account which has fixed spreads.

As an example of others such markets, crude oil has typical spreads of $0.05, while silver has $0.03 as a spread typically.

Leverage

Leverage at HotForex varies depending on the instrument traded obviously. Energy markets have a 1:33 set leverage, while precious metals have 1:20. Indices are a bit different in the sense that they have fixed margin, most of which are right around the $200. Shares have a margin requirement of 7%.

Trading platforms

HotForex uses the well-known MetaTrader ecosystem, using version 4. They also offer mobile versions of those as well, and multi terminal trading platforms also. This is a platform that is known by traders around the world, so that obviously is something that is going to be quite familiar for people that have been trading, and easy for beginners.

Payment methods

HotForex allows a plethora of options for both deposit and withdrawal. These include PayPal, credit card, bank transfer, Skrill, and Neteller. These offer enough opportunities for traders around the world to fund their accounts easily.

Extras

HotForex offers a bit of research and information for traders, and quite a few webinars as well. This broker tend to focus more on education, which is crucial for newer traders. The education is offered in e-books, videos, and webinars. There are also seminars, which are a relatively new way for the market maker to go. There are a multitude of promotions and loyalty programs that are constantly changing, so you will have to check with the broker before taking that into account.
